Dental composite is a tooth coloured filling material which can be shade matched to the colour of your teeth. Composite material has a number of applications:
Restoring dental cavities caused by decay;
Replacing unsightly metal amalgam fillings with more aesthetic tooth coloured restorations;
Rebuilding broken, chipped or worn teeth;
Closing spaces between teeth;
Reshaping teeth (direct composite veneers).
Dental composite restorations can be used in minimally invasive 'smile makeover cases' - often in combination with tooth whitening. Composite veneers can also be used to mask imperfections such as white flecks or discoloured patches.
